Nose Spray Experiments

Since I read that there is a patent for curcumin nose spray... I have really wanted some.  Especially now that I realize that P. gingivalis can live in the sinuses and spew gingipains all over my face...

There really isn't any on the market, though. So I got NeilMed Sinus Rinse  and used that as a base.  Each packet makes 8 ounces, so I added one drop of  Turmeric/Curcumin essential oil to start.

This has been so effective, I haven't tried any other experiments! 😊

If I put it on a swab and leave it in the bulb for a minute, it gets thinner.  And less red.  Extraordinary.  (yellow circle)

I put it on the swab and wipe out my sinus duct, it is finally healing. (pink circle)   There are entire days my nose doesn't run.   Some nights too.   Wow.

If I spray straight up my nostrils, my tear ducts and glands drain. (blue arrow) My eyelids aren't as puffy and they open wider.   I can feel my eyebrows.  That's fun.   I didn't know I couldn't...

The NeilMed kit is available in pharmacies in the US.   I assume there are similar products worldwide.   Look for one with baking soda, it allows the oil to mix with  water.

It's real easy, you just have to boil the solution for a few minutes.  However, it requires distilled purified water, make sure to pick that up at the store .  Do not use tap or drinking water, it is not sterile enough.

I do not like their neti bottle, I bought nasal spray bottles as well.

Remember to shake the solution before you use it.

Please be careful and test one nostril with a swab and wait a day before you try more.  I find it very mild, but I have blasted my nose with many harsh sprays over many years.  You boys- be patient and don't make it any more concentrated.  Healing requires time and sleep.
