How much I love curcumin cream and soap

I'm making it for everyone I know.  Reviving some living fossils.

I tried a few different kinds.   I do not like the ones with Vitamin C.   They are too harsh for frequent use.  This recipe is my attempt at the cream I liked the most.  It is all natural, and has no alcohol or gluten.  I think all the alcohols in commercial lotions are what makes them so ineffective for us.

This recipe is for a very small batch. (that would cost about 30 dollars retail!).
I used a diet scale to measure in grams.

Curcumin Body Butter    makes approx. 6 oz.

50 g Refined Shea Butter
60 g Sunflower Oil
23 g  Aloe Vera Gel (all natural, not from the pharmacy)
3 g  Turmeric/Curcumin essential oil (60 drops)
20 drops Ginger essential oil

Put all the ingredients in a small stainless steel bowl.  Melt it slowly in a water bath.
When it is all melted, put the bowl in the freezer for about 20 minutes.
When it has all gelled, even the center, take it out and it is ready to whip. Don't let it freeze.
Use a regular mixer, but only one blade.  If the mixture is ready, it will start turning white as soon as you start mixing.  (If not, then put it back in the freezer a few minutes.)   When it is all white, take a spatula and scrape the sides of the bowl once.  Whip for at least a minute or two, it will puff up and get really creamy after a while.  Then you are done.   Put it in a short, wide mouth jar.  Don't stir too much, you want it to stay fluffy.

It's pretty forgiving,  if you're not happy, you can melt it down, add more oils, freeze and whip it again.

I haven't used the liquid soap yet, I'm planning to add curcumin for foot baths.
I got the small steel bowl at Dollar Tree.
