 Nightmares linked to faster biological ageing and early death

"Scary dreams disrupt our sleep and elevate our levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which may have serious consequences for our health over time."

Ummm, NO.

After scream-walking for ten years as a child and a lifetime of nightmares and literally crying in my sleep,  I am here to tell you:

High levels of cortisol cause nightmares.  

High levels of cortisol are produced during chronic infection.  

Now I only dream when I am sick.   It's a signal that I need to take care of my mouth, even though I can't feel it.
