This is what bad sockets look like.  They drain yellow goop downwards.
These are crowded too close together and the nerves are probably constantly pinched.
2 front top teeth, drain down on 7 bottom teeth.
Look at how perfect they are otherwise.

This seems to be a thing, the crowding pinches the sockets.
My bad left bicuspid was lodged between two others, got pinched every time I chewed.
But it always looked perfect.  It never got a cavity.  And even though I had nine years of orthodontia,  my dentists never even noticed it - (Yeah, it would have been nice if they had pulled the bad tooth instead of the four others they chose to extract.)
Nobody ever mentioned it- even the hotshot high-tech dentist when I was 45 and had my entire mouth overhauled to alleviate my excruciating head pain...
That nerve started twitching when I was four years old.  Which is about the time I started sleepwalking.
It had stopped hurting by the time I was 17.  The suicidal ideation started around then.
And even though it was tweaked my whole life and the socket was basically an open sore in my mouth, I couldn't feel it and it didn't fall out until I was 53 and my Arizona dentist pushed it to the side and out of the trap.
It took two more years to figure out how to heal the wound though...

That tooth was like a railroad spike jamming into my ulcerated upper jaw my entire life.
A little Benzocaine probably could have diagnosed and solved the acute problem before I ground down all my other teeth, my entire head was affected, and my metabolism was shot.

It's a really nice tooth.  I'm having it silverplated.  It's my reward for not killing myself.

(for the record, I don't know whose teeth these are, but the right side upper and lower molars are toast, and this person definitely has auditory phenomena.  Probably both hearing loss and tinnitus or hallucinations.   But the dentist is marketing having the front ones straightened.)

(and just for some bonus irony, whitening yellow teeth with hydrogen peroxide makes the gums dry out and more prone to infection)

Yes it does.  I could have picked him out of a crowd.
This man shows all the symptoms of long term bacteremia and cortisol overproduction. Baldness.  Tattoos.  Serious epithelial dysfunction.  Insulin resistance.

I'm guessing he ate or drank something that ulcerated his mouth and his whole head inflamed.
It happens real quick sometimes. I've gotten migraines in 10 minutes after sour candy.

Honestly, if I were in charge I would make a National Department of Male Dentistry.   Make you people register and get checkups like they do for car emissions.

This is Why

I have been contemplating suicide since 1977.
Not constantly, but you know, every time I got really sick.   Which sometimes lasted long stretches.

I have always had a plan.   How I was going to do it.
When I was young, it was drugs.  Overdosing.
When I was in Seattle, it was CO2.   Die in my garage.  Or jump off one of the many bridges.

When I moved here to Arizona I realized I could eat a bunch of Jack in the Box tacos and pass out in my car on a hot day.   Sleep to death.

These days I think I can just put on my "Nasty Woman" T-shirt and go down to the CircleK and wait for a Trumper to shoot me.

THIS IS WHY

Because suicide isn't unpredictable-  Mania and Righteousness are symptoms that come before Despair and Death.

Bearing Arms editor Bob Owens dead from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound

Bob Owens, editor of the popular pro-gun blog BearingArms.com, died Monday in an apparent suicide, authorities say.
Owens was found around 11 a.m. near a stop sign outside his subdivision in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., a town southwest of Raleigh. A gun was located nearby, according to the Fuquay-Varina Police Department.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is still pending, but police said the gunshot wound was “possibly … self-inflicted.”
Shortly before Owens’s death, he apparently wrote a chilling message on Facebook: “In the end, it turns out that I’m not strong. I’m a coward, and selfish son of a b‑‑‑‑. I’m sorry.”

Infection Linked to Large Increased Risk for Death by Suicide

Infection requiring hospitalization has been linked to a 43% increased risk of dying by suicide. The finding raises questions about the role of biological mechanisms of infection, particularly neuroinflammation, on suicidal behaviors.
"Our findings indicate that infections may have a relevant role in the pathophysiological mechanisms of suicidal behavior," the investigators, with first author Helene Lund-Sørensen, BM, Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark, write.
"To our knowledge, this investigation is the largest study to date to examine infections as a predictor of death by suicide," they report.
The researchers also note that although "psychiatric disorders and previous suicide attempts might constitute stronger predictors of suicide, we found that hospitalization with infection accounted for a population-attributable risk of 10.1%.
"The implication is that 1 in 10 suicides could be prevented if infections were to be eliminated entirely, provided that the association was causal," they write.

US suicide rate jumps 24 percent since 1999

The rate increased by about one percent a year from 1999, then accelerated to two percent annually from 2006 to 2014, said the findings by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics.
The rise was seen among both males and females and for all ages 10-74, said the report.
The biggest jump was among girls aged 10-14, whose suicide rate tripled from 0.5 per 100,000 people in 1999 to 1.5 per 100,000 in 2014.

Good grief, adolescent girls?   The ones you are stuffing full of carbs?   Those girls?

Seeing as psychs can't replicate their research, and mental illness seems to be getting RAPIDLY WORSE- it's now completely plausible that their entire underlying premise is wrong. 
There is no reason to believe they are providing any value to society.

Bruce Shisheesh, the chief of the Attawapiskat First Nation community, said 11 people attempted to take their own lives on Saturday, prompting him to declare a state of emergency.
He tweeted that the regional Weeneebayko Health Authority was flying in a crisis team, mental health nurses and social workers, and that he was waiting for Ontario's minister of health to deliver more emergency workers to the area.

Children with Cushing syndrome may have higher suicide risk

Cushing syndrome results from high levels of the hormone cortisol. Long-term complications of the syndrome include obesity, diabetes, bone fractures, high blood pressure, kidney stones and serious infections. Cushing's syndrome may be caused by tumors of the adrenal glands or other parts of the body that produce excess cortisol. It also may be caused by a pituitary tumor that stimulates the adrenal glands to produce high cortisol levels. Treatment usually involves stopping excess cortisol production by removing the tumor.

The authors noted that children with Cushing syndrome often develop compulsive behaviors and tend to become over-achievers in school. After treatment, however, they then become depressed and anxious. This is in direct contrast to adults with Cushing syndrome, who tend to become depressed and anxious before treatment and gradually overcome these symptoms after treatment.

The authors stated that health care providers might try to prepare children with Cushing syndrome before they undergo treatment, letting them know that their mood may change after surgery and may not improve for months or years. Similarly, providers should consider screening their patients periodically for suicide risk in the years following their treatment.

Guess what also raises cortisol levels through the roof...
Bacteremia.  Sepsis.   Which is sometimes caused by surgery...

Is suicide a tragic variant of an evolutionarily adaptive set of behaviors?

According to Joiner et al., when individuals believe that others or society as a whole will be better off without them, they miscalculate the worth of their lives and conclude that their deaths will be more valuable. This misperception, in conjunction with a tendency toward self-sacrifice, may then result in the individual's death by suicide. This represents a devastating variant of what otherwise is an adaptive tendency.

Yes, well that's all very theoretical and shit.
I might even agree, it seems I always want to make a dramatic outgoing social statement when I consider offing myself...

But this kind of speculation doesn't at all give us a way to stop this insidious metamorphosis.
That's all that really matters.

It seems very clear to me that this deranged level of hypervigilance is caused by occult septic delirium.
Undiagnosed infections.
We're very sick, we feel like we're going to die imminently anyway- might as well make it worth it....

Crashed Plane’s Co-Pilot “Hid” an “Illness” From Lufthansa, German Prosecutors Say

German prosecutors say that pilot Andreas Lubitz, suspected of intentionally crashing Germanwings Flight 4U 9525, may have hid an "illness" from his "employer and colleagues," while multiple German publications report that he had issues with depression.
Per the BBC, the German tabloid Bild says Lubitz had a "severe depressive episode" in 2009. The paper Der Tagesspiegel reports via a source that Lubitz was being treated for depression at a university clinic in Dusseldorf, and both Bild and another outlet say that a note in his "aviation authority file" recommended regular psychological treatment.

Ummm, I don't think that's the illness that was overlooked...
