See the Angels

Adapt.org is really the people who made this happen.   Protesting in their wheelchairs, for heaven's sake...

Please contribute if you can, I know they have a lot of expenses from this battle for justice.

How Far We Have Fallen

I am happy that John McCain decided to vote as his constituents wanted him to.
I'm quite surprised, but I do not consider it "Brave" just because all the other male republican senators are monstrous cowards.
Besides killing a lot of people, many of the hospitals and nursing homes in Arizona would have gone bankrupt. It would have tanked our retirement based economy.

It was the right thing to do.  On every metric.
So no extra credit for just doing his damn job.

Minus Points for all the theatrics.
Because it was always the right thing to do.
(I don't give sick old men the benefit of the doubt when it comes to impulsive, self-aggrandizing behavior.)

Lots of points and thanks to Senators Collins and Murkowski for standing firm from the beginning, even in the face of threats from their cruel colleagues.

Everyone get some sleep and then get up and Resist some more...

Follow the Money

They are writing the bill today.
They are voting tomorrow.
A bill that literally spells death for millions.  And will probably collapse the entire health care sector.

This. Is. Not. Anywhere. Near. Normal.

They are blatantly ignoring the protocols of the Senate and the safety and wishes of their own constituents because a few shriveled billionaires told them to.

At least we got to see their true faces before we die.

Hey you Guys

Sperm count has fallen by nearly 60 per cent in richer countries

They don't give a reason, but I am pretty sure it is antibiotic related.
The results from this study suggest that tetracycline has deleterious effects on male reproductive parameters of albino rats.
Most other antibiotics haven't been studied for sperm production, but a few of them sure do cripple sperm that already exist...

And most antibiotics do induce systemic endotoxin release.
Endotoxemia reduces testicular function.   It's the trigger in the "GELDING" theory of obesity.
They propose endotoxin lowers your sex hormones which then makes you fat...

I Hope You Survive

What a horrifying, shameful day in America.

Don't eat gluten.  Don't drink alcohol.  Don't take antibiotics.
Brush your teeth with baking soda.
Rinse your nose with saline.
Swab the mucous out of your throat.
Rub your skin with olive oil.

Live to fight another day.

As I Was Saying

Morbidity and mortality of middle-aged and elderly narcoleptics.
Middle-aged and elderly patients had more health contacts before and after their narcolepsy diagnosis with respect to several disease domains: infections, neoplasm, endocrine/metabolic diseases/diabetes, mental/psychiatric, neurological (including epilepsy), eye, cardiovascular (hypertension, ischemic heart disease), respiratory (upper-airway infections, sleep apnea), gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal (including discopathies) and skin diseases. Narcolepsy patients had lower reproductive rates. Furthermore, patients showed significantly more health contacts due to the evaluation and control contacts for disease and symptoms. Patients suffered from significantly more multiple diseases than did controls.
See the vicious circles.

Um, Hello, is this thing On?

Am I the only one who thinks there is something wrong with an 80 year old man with a confirmed brain tumor voting in the U.S. Senate?

JFC...  Truly Nothing Matters Anymore.

Trump: "I’m so stable you wouldn’t believe it"

Yeah

Since I wrote that post  with the words "men, guns, register" in it- my blog has been visited by bots precisely every half hour.
I guess this one will rile them up some more.
Automated righteous obsession.   Go figure.

I think this sums it up

The people who don't want sick people to get affordable health insurance-  really need to have their heads closely examined.

Seriously

Can we scan Trump's head now?

Irony Squared

John McCain’s Recovery May Take Longer Than Expected, Dimming Prospects for GOP Health Bill
The latest twist in the poorly scripted movie that is the current U.S. political system: The future of a bill that could take health insurance from millions of Americans may be decided by how quickly one senator recovers from an unexpected health problem.

...On Sunday the New York Times kicked off a new wave of speculation about the bill’s fate when it noted that his condition “may be more serious than initial descriptions have implied, and it may delay his return to Washington by at least a week or two.” The paper did not speak to any of McCain’s doctors, but other medical experts said the recovery time for such procedures can be several weeks. They also discussed how McCain’s history of melanoma might complicate matters.
Yes, that makes sense. A pre-existing condition.  Of course.
Metastatic melanoma of the face  has probably been causing him a lot of problems for a long time.

I swear, who are the writers on this shitshow?
Please don't make me be grateful for his head infection...

Dear Suicidal/Homicical Men

The reason we break up with you is because you have gotten obsessive and weird.
The reason you are obsessive and weird is because your teeth are rotten.
Your head is Toxic.  Please- stop spending your money on guns and go to the fucking dentist!

Honestly, if I were in charge I would make a National Department of Male Dentistry.   Make you people register and get checkups like they do for car emissions.

Oh Holy Fuck Fuck Fuck

His parents said he just needed to sleep. A SWAT team came instead.
As police cars rolled into his pristine suburban neighborhood last Saturday night, past the sprawling Colonials and manicured lawns, and as dozens of officers from across the region surrounded his home, Russell Reeves begged them again and again to back off. In a bedroom upstairs his son Austin, 26, was distraught over a breakup. He had told his family he needed time alone. With him was his dog and his 9 mm handgun. If you pressure him, if he feels cornered, Reeves said he told the police, this will end with Austin killing himself.
He needed a hot bath.  He needed to clean his mouth and nose.   He needed sleep.
He really should have lived long enough to see the dentist he desperately needed.

How Narcolepsy Works- in less than ten sentences.

Open wounds in the mouth allows Bacterial Endotoxin into the bloodstream.
Bacterial endotoxin slows down orexin cells.
Prolonged endotoxemia kills orexin cells.

The wounds may be caused by injury, teething, infection, or surgery.
And although oropharyngeal infections seem to be the most common in acute narcolepsy,  other chronic injuries and infections will also trigger this process.

Sugar promotes microbial activity and glucose lowers orexin levels directly- triggering sleepiness.
The reason gluten increases symptoms is it promotes the translocation of endotoxin going through your intestinal wall into your bloodstream- it increases your burden.  So does alcohol.

And in the wickedest irony ever-  the most common treatment for wounds and infections is also the most powerful trigger of orexin cell loss-
Antibiotics cause Acute Endotoxemia while they destroy bacteria in your body.

Trouble Sleeping? Restless Nights Evolved From Ancestors Avoiding Dangers
New research suggests that age-related sleep disorders are maybe not disorders at all but instead are legacies of our evolutionary past, when they were beneficial.

Cry me a river

Heh. The pharma companies have pissed off the insurance vendors.
Here's a little piece from Kaiser.

Whichever Way ‘Repeal And Replace’ Blows, Pharma Is Due For Windfall
The pharmaceutical industry could see windfall profits from a little-noticed tweak to the insurance market tucked into the Trump administration’s draft executive order on drug prices, experts say.

The short, technical paragraph calls for the Internal Revenue Service to allow patients with high-deductible health plans to receive care for chronic diseases, including drugs, before meeting their deductibles.

This allowance, known as a “safe harbor,” could be welcome news for patients with chronic conditions like diabetes or asthma stuck with skimpy plans. For example, a diabetes patient could fill her prescription for insulin with just a copay, even if she hadn’t spent enough on medical bills for her insurance coverage to kick in. But in the long term, experts say, extending a safe harbor to chronic care would encourage more employers to adopt these skimpy plans, while shielding the pharmaceutical industry from pressure to lower drug costs.

“It’s hard to view this as anything but a substantial win for pharma,” said Kim Monk, a partner and pharmaceutical expert at Capital Alpha Partners, which tracks laws and regulations for financial institutions.

Nobody Could Have Predicted

In April, Goldstone  declared in a post to Facebook that he is in “a serious relationship with Bread.”
"I just can’t resist it - this is true love!!!” he said.

Are things GREAT yet?

A Trillion-Ton Iceberg Just Broke Off Antarctica

I am more than ready for the True Believers to be raptured.
Don't let the screen door hit ya where your naturally selected DNA split ya.

Yeah, Junior.

Watched him talk yesterday...  he's just like his father.
His adenoids are clogged, those enormous teeth are fake, and I would guess there's been some nose surgery and botox too.
I know there's alcohol in his history, gotta assume antibiotics as well.
His voice is distorted and his mouth moves entirely wrong.  Mouth Breather- just like daddy.  He has lots of sinus inflammation and nerve damage that's just better masked by surgical and cosmetic procedures.
And it seems he gets the rage attacks and memory lapses too....

Go figure.

Nelsan Ellis' Family Shares Circumstances of 'True Blood' Actor's Death
Nelsan's father has bravely agreed for me to share the circumstances of Nelsan's heart failure. Nelsan has suffered with drug and alcohol abuse for years. After many stints in rehab, Nelsan attempted to withdraw from alcohol on his own. According to his father, during his withdrawal from alcohol he had a blood infection, his kidneys shut down, his liver was swollen, his blood pressure plummeted, and his dear sweet heart raced out of control
