Plausible Deniability Photo Op

Why do they have to pay to wrap a bus like this?
Why are there only six women?

Plausible Deniability is the Refuge of Sociopaths

Jason Miller, Trumps former aide has been accused of secretly administering an abortion pill which almost killed the woman he was having an affair with.

Study Carefully

“We are unwilling to accommodate your unreasonable demands,” Grassley said in a written statement.
The operative word is "Unreasonable".  It's their favorite description of women.
Even though most of them couldn't get dressed in the morning without one.

We Won't Forget

Trump knows .
He knows why we ALL didn't report.
He's been counting on it his entire pussy grabbing life.

And it's precisely why nasty men support him.  Why they "want to go back to the fifties".
That's when they could bully and molest people with impunity.
Because practically, before the undeniable accountability of DNA, nobody could report it.  It would only destroy their own life.

Study carefully the ongoing loud display of feigned righteousness to convince each other they are not monsters...
And to keep us from talking about it, even now.

I Believe

Eric Ruyak posted yesterday:

Funny bit of full circle nonsense.
For those of you who don't know, I went to Georgetown Prep, where both Kavanaugh and Gorsuch went as well. When I came forward with allegations regarding Gary Orr, a former priest, sexually assaulting me...Mark Judge (Kavanaugh's friend in this who despicable story of sexual assault) reached out to alums saying that Gary Orr was a great priest and that I had obviously been corrupted by liberalism into a homosexual and therefore was most definitely lying.
THEN, years later when Orr admitted to raping a whole cadre of children, he said that Orr was raping kids because of the unchecked liberalism at Prep, and that regardless of whether or not I was telling the truth, I was a homosexual and had it coming. Google "Mark Judge Gary Orr" and you will see what a fucking loon this guy is, and with what malice he writes his right wing bullshit.
So...for me to hear that this son of a bitch is involved in the allegations of Kavanaugh attempting to rape a girl in high school comes as no surprise to me. It's always the loudest most arrogant voices that are trying to hide the truth beneath the din of their own pompous voices.
And by the way, the story that this woman is telling is one that I know was repeated dozens of times in my 4 years at Prep...

This is Why

Because I am that girl.
That girl at that party in 1977.
The one that got stared at and talked about afterwards- while given the silent treatment.
The one who still remembers the first classmate who spoke to her... three months later.

The one who grew up and moved far away and made an entirely different life.
The one who never used Facebook because it immediately connected her back to every one of those motherfucking assholes.

I am now an old lady.  I have suffered three rounds of florid dementia and some permanent memory loss.
But I can never forget that.

Easy Peasy Science

I’m a mother of six, and a Mormon. I have a good understanding of arguments surrounding abortion, religious and otherwise. I've been listening to men grandstand about women's reproductive rights, and I'm convinced men actually have zero interest in stopping abortion. Here's why…
If you want to stop abortion, you need to prevent unwanted pregnancies. And men are 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancies. No for real, they are. Perhaps you are thinking: IT TAKES TWO! And yes, it does take two for _intentional_ pregnancies.
But ALL unwanted pregnancies are caused by the irresponsible ejaculations of men. Period. Don’t believe me? Let me walk you through it...

A few things

America Records More than a Third of the World’s Gun Suicides
The United States, home to 4 percent of the world’s population, accounted for more than a third of its gun suicides in 2016, according to a sweeping analysis of global firearm deaths published yesterday in The Journal of the American Medical Association. The study, which is the first to gauge the global impact of gun violence, suggests that America’s rates of gun suicide and gun ownership are stark outliers on the world stage.

Some advice from GQ

Men, Please Brush Your Teeth
If you search the word “teeth” on Reddit, or through any internet advice column, you’ll see what a common issue this seems to be. Men who don’t brush for days at a time. Men turning defensive when their girlfriends ask them to go to the dentist. Men who shower every day, but whose only dental hygiene routine is stocking up on breath mints. Men who will nag their partners to brush their teeth, but who won’t do the same for themselves.
According to a survey from the Academy of General Dentistry, this is more than just an anecdotal problem. American women are more likely to get preventative dental care than men, and according to a different study from the Journal of Periodontology said men were less likely to brush regularly and do things like schedule regular dental checkups. Men are also more likely to lose teeth as they age, and develop oral and throat cancer, and gum disease. However, presumably men grow up surrounded by just as many helpful toothpaste commercials and posters in Kindergarten classrooms. Yes, going to the dentist sucks, but also, we’re all adults here. And so, I ask a question I’ve asked many, many times in my 31 years on this planet: Men, what on earth is up with you?

I wish I had the ability to search Reddit.   Unfortunately I have PTSD from doing internet research back in the 90's.   I was one of the actual humans who verified other people's search terms to determine the goal of the user and the accuracy of results.  (Totally serious, my boss created that paperclip guy.)  Trust me, even with (mostly misspelled) sex terms filtered out, it was traumatic.

And now I regret helping them improve their algorithms. Every single day.

As I was Saying

Gut bacteria helps develop more beige fat with restricted calorie intake
Reducing the intake of calories by up to 40% has long been known to have a beneficial effect on animal health: the animals live longer, blood-sugar levels drop faster, and they burn more body fat. According to an article by a group of researchers recently published in the research magazine Cell Metabolism, many of these changes in the body are brought about by gut bacteria.
... Trajkovski's team found that the gut bacteria of mice on a calorie-restricted diet produced lower levels of a toxic molecule called Lipopolysaccharide (LPS). When the LPS-levels were reconstituted to normal levels in the blood, the mice lost many health benefits of the diet.
They then go on to describe the molecules that they are going to develop and sell to mimic this effect.

Senator Ben Sasse, a straight white man with taxpayer-paid-health-care-for-life claims women protesters are "Hysterical" to fight for access to basic health care.

How and Why Silicon Valley Gets High  NYTimes
Michael Pollan, whose recent book, “How to Change Your Mind,” talks about the resurgence of psychedelic drugs, told me in an interview that the exploration of drugs by tech workers remains part of the industry’s “hacking ethos.”
Mr. Pollan is not surprised that Silicon Valley is behind that push. He points to a range of other tech-fueled efforts — fasting, food-hacking, nootropics (drugs meant to stimulate memory and cognitive function) and attempts to stop aging and even death — that are on trend right now.
“It is all about finding a technology to improve biology,” said Mr. Pollan.

"What also surprised us was the sheer number of these bacteria," adds Philippe Sansonetti. Why I am Obsessed with Dehydration

BECAUSE I CAN'T FEEL IT.

This study was just published, it shows that rising orexin levels are a trigger for thirst.
That as a rat gets dehydrated it's orexin levels rise and this motivates it to seek water.

I find this does not happen for me.
If I am outside and sweating I will just become more and more focused and obsessive on finishing my task instead of seeking relief.   I think this is because the stress hormones are being activated instead...

Orexin neurons couple neural systems mediating fluid balance with motivation-related circuits.

During extracellular dehydration, neural systems that sense deficits in body fluid homeostasis operate in tandem with those that mediate motivation and reward in order to promote ingestive behaviors that restore fluid balance. We hypothesized that hypothalamic orexin (Ox) neurons act as an interface to couple brain regions sensing and processing information about body fluid status with central nervous system motivation and reward systems. An initial set of anterograde and retrograde tracing experiments suggested that structures along the lamina terminalis (LT), a region of the forebrain that serves to monitor and integrate information reflecting body fluid balance, project to hypothalamic Ox neurons that, in turn, project to dopamine neurons in the ventral tegmental area (VTA). A second set of experiments determined whether Ox neuron activation is associated with extracellular dehydration and the seeking out and consumption of water and saline. An elevation of Fos-like immunoreactivity in Ox neurons was observed in fluid-depleted rats that were allowed to ingest water and sodium. A final experiment was conducted to determine whether Ox release in the VTA promotes thirst and salt appetite. Bilateral microinjection of the Ox Type I receptor antagonist SB-408124 into the VTA prior to acute extracellular dehydration attenuated fluid intake. Together, these studies support the hypothesis that structures along the LT modulate activity in the VTA through actions of orexinergic neurons that have cell bodies in the hypothalamus. This pathway may function to facilitate sustained consumption of fluids necessary for restoration of fluid balance.
Anyhow, I'm pretty sure that explains a whole lot of my problems since I moved here to the desert.

BASEL, SWITZERLAND—According to a Live Science report, a wad of 2,000-year-old papyrus from the collections of the University of Basel has been restored and translated, revealing a previously unknown composition. An examination of the papyrus with ultraviolet and infrared light revealed the sheets may have been stuck together, possibly to be reused as a bookbinding. Once a restorer separated the wad into individual sheets, the Greek text could be read. Ancient historian Sabine Huebner explained the papyrus bears a medical text that may have been composed by the Roman physician Galen, who lived from A.D. 130 to 210. The text may also comprise a commentary on Galen's work, describing a phenomenon he called “hysterical apnea.” Women afflicted with this so-called condition did not suffer from a “wandering womb,” as was thought by other physicians of the day, Galen is known to have argued, but from “hysterical suffocation,” brought on by a lack of intercourse. “
Because the advice I now receive from doctors is only slightly less self-serving.

Incel Memes Aren’t a Joke
One meme that clearly has taken hold in incel communities is “millimeters of bone,” in which side-by-side photos of similar-looking men run alongside the caption “The difference between Chad and non-Chad (incel) is literally a few millimeters of bone.”
In incel jargon, a Chad is a strong, well-liked, testosterone-loaded man who has sex with a disproportionate number of women. Incels resent women for choosing to sleep with Chads rather than non-Chads like themselves. Chins and jaws, the most enhanced facial features in the millimeters of bone meme, are particular obsessions of many incel communities, as members believe women are biologically drawn to men with prominent ones, while guys with weak chins and slight overbites are doomed to lives of solitude.

Church charges brought against Sessions
More than 600 United Methodist clergy and laity say they are bringing church law charges against U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a fellow United Methodist, over a zero tolerance U.S. immigration policy — a policy that includes separating children from parents apprehended for crossing into the U.S. illegally.
...
The group claimed in a June 18 statement that Sessions, a member of a Mobile, Alabama, church, violated Paragraph 2702.3 of the denomination’s Book of Discipline.
Specifically, the group accuses him of child abuse in reference to separating young children from their parents and holding them in mass incarceration facilities; immorality; racial discrimination and “dissemination of doctrines contrary to the established standards of doctrines” of The United Methodist Church.

After Marco Antonio Muñoz, 39, and his wife and 3-year-old son arrived at Granjeno, Texas on May 12, agents split them up. They were taken into custody and at a processing station, they were informed they’d be separated. An agent, who anonymously spoke to The Washington Post, said Marco didn’t want to give up his child. “The guy lost his shit,” the agent said. “They had to use physical force to take the child out of his hands.”
Once handcuffed, Marco tried to flee. He was booked into jail at 9:40 p.m. By 9:50 a.m. on May 13, he was dead. He had committed suicide.

The Associated Press‏Verified account @AP
BREAKING: Arizona's governor says 225 National Guard members heading to Mexico border to back Trump illegal immigration fight.

Honestly, the way people down here are most likely to be killed is to be hit by an elderly motorist.
Happens all the time.
Or by inappropriate and overpriced medical treatment.
Gobs of that, every day.  Uh huh.

It's 90 degrees here already and the old white folks are getting crispy.

Perfect time to provoke an incident and declare Arizona a state of emergency...

KNOW HOPE

Brain never stops growing, scientists find, as elderly shown to have same number of new neurons as teens

I have waited several years to state this definitively:
There is every reason to believe Orexin cells will repopulate in your brain- if you stop killing them.

Must go weep now

Twin sisters known for battle with debilitating OCD die in possible ‘suicide pact’

Yeah, they didn't want to mess up the house.
One of the things that has saved my life numerous times...
An inability to leave the house when I'm sick.

RIP dear tormented women.

My current obsession

Newfound 'organ' could be the biggest in your body

Researchers have detailed the structure and distribution of spaces in your body that they say represent a newfound human organ, and this "organ" just might be your body's biggest -- but not all experts are convinced.
It's the part of the body known as the Interstitium, a name for widespread, fluid-filled spaces within and between tissues all over your body, according to a study published in the journal Scientific Reports on Tuesday.
It's under all your skin and mucous membranes....  oh my.

Why this triggers me:

The M-protein produced by Strep Pyogenes generates antibodies that cross-react with interstitial connective tissue.

Uh huh.

So many things to celebrate

Here's the first lesson of Sexual Assault Awareness Month-   Memorize it.

“I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.” ~President Trump

Zombie Shopping

I don't hang out in gluten groups so didn't know these existed:
They are only available at a few stores around here. (Target, Sprouts)
Yeah, I waited ten years for those...
They don't taste perfect, but the rest of the parameters are within tolerance, bendable when uncooked, brown and crispy when fried.   Made a nice ultra-thin personal pizza.

Now I need everyone to go buy some so Mission doesn't discontinue them.

Dear Evangelical Trump Supporters

Please to shut your righteously indignant pieholes now.
Stormy is brutally honest about her quid pro quos.  She wanted a TV gig.

You seem to forget that you sold your holier-than-her souls to the same blatantly corrupt, perverted liar.
And you accepted Stolen Merchandise as payment.

Closed your eyes, held your nose, and kneeled...
But not a one of you will admit it.

Dear "Silent" Generation

Please to shut your whiny pieholes now.

Those kids just kicked your ass on all metrics-  intelligence, planning, execution, fairness, inclusion, activism, elocution, common sense, and especially morality.

You will never own the narrative again.
Your lifetime of unprecedented and unequaled prosperity, and blatantly using it to exploit the system- is over.   Accountability is here.
Get right with humanity- or die on the wrong side of history.

You Don't Get to Choose Your Obsession

Why Are White Men Stockpiling Guns?
Research suggests it's largely because they're anxious about their ability to protect their families, insecure about their place in the job market and beset by racial fears.
Yeah, that's what they tell you people, but-
I tend to think the overwhelming anxiety comes directly from their rotten teeth and the resulting systemic bacteremia caused by abuse of sugar and wheat and alcohol and antibiotics.
Self-induced Berserker Syndrome.

That is a testable hypothesis.   If we could do the research.
But hey, since we can't-  let's ask more gun freaks their opinions on neurological and cognitive processes...

This is Why

Because mania and obsession are progressive and cumulative.
Because you don't get to choose your obsession.
Because the behavior is real beneficial to the patient- until it isn't.
Because the behavior is real beneficial to society- until it isn't.
Because I know that when I have slipped into sepsis, I am capable of anything.

This is expected behavior.

New Rules

I don't know who to attribute this to, but it's a real good idea.
I would substitute a dental exam for the anal probe, though.
Most of those guys really need to spend their money on dentistry instead.

There it is...

Fuck Donald Trump.
And FUCK YOU for voting for him.
Treacherous enemies of  democracy- all of ya!

Words Matter

This is what male humans call fun.

That is not fun.
I grew up in the 60's, 70's and 80's.  I have always had impulse control problems. I have had a lot of indulgent fun in my life.
That is boring. Clearly any fool can do that.
If you truly have an overwhelming urge to destroy things, get a job in demolition- it's an actual career path with really cool toys.

This is Why

Because even though I am an old lady, there are still times when I find myself behaving like this.

I suffer from occasional bouts of involuntary toddlerhood.

Practical Zombipathy

Most people think that a shower is to clean your body, but it's actually the best time and place to clean inside your head.
We do need to hydrate our outsides. Our skin dries out too much. It shuts down our epithelial sensory nerves. But it's really important that we clean and hydrate our mucous membranes too. Removing mucous is the absolute best way to deal with our oropharyngeal infections.

How I take a shower

Get in, soak head and warm up.
Put conditioner on scalp. I don't use shampoo, I use an aloe conditioner that removes the excess oil from my hair while not stripping the skin of moisture. I leave it on during this process to sooth my scalp. Whatever you use, it should be mild.

Preliminary swab of mouth. Wet the swab and get the snot off your lips and teeth and tongue. Wipe the roof of the mouth.
(You can Rinse the swab off in the water and use it again and again.)

Then take the saline and rinse the nostrils and sinuses. Tip and shake your head around. Blow out snot. Do it again.
If you do this right, you will taste saltwater drain into your throat when it's clear.

Now wash the body. The aloe conditioner works nice as a body wash, but I usually use castille soap just because I like to use bar soap, not liquid. Whatever you use, it should be gentle, and don't scrub your skin... the whole point of this exercise is to hydrate and repair your epithelium...

While you are washing the movement and mist should loosen more mucous from the nose and throat.
Now it's time to do the real swabbing.
Do another quick pass around the mouth and teeth.
Then concentrate on the areas of predictable pathology. The salivary glands and throat...
The large salivary gland ducts empty into the mouth in two places: from the cheek near the upper molars, and under the tongue. It's important to keep the openings clean, we tend to make more calcium in our saliva and it clogs things up.
The top ones are easy to wipe, just rub the swab on the outside of the upper teeth, clean out that “corner” along the cheek and gums, and continue behind the molars.
The lower ones will make you gag- that's a really good thing though, that motion is the best way to clear any goop stuck in your throat crevices.
I take the swab and place it under the front of my tongue and push it back inside the teeth under one side all the way back to the throat and then pull it out. The first part cleans the duct openings and triggers the gag reflex, the last part catches the goop that is deposited in the throat from the reflex.
Then I repeat on the other side, etc.

By this time, any gunk that may have been down in your lungs will be trying to get out...
Bend over, cough and then swab out the back of your throat while your mouth is pointed down.
Coughing and hacking and spitting are not enough to clear mucous from the lungs- mucous is filamentous and anchors itself where it starts- it will just hang on and slide back down. You have to catch the end of the snot and pull it out like a booger. Luckily, the spongy stuff seems to grab it like velcro, you just have to touch it to the slime. (Sorry for being gross, that's just the most accurate way to describe it...)

Stand up and rinse out your mouth. (and probably gag and cry and blow out more snot.)
Now your head should be soaked, so rinse your hair and body and you're done.

----------

After shower:

Use saline on a q-tip to remove any debris left in the nostils.

Moisturize skin- I currently use a mixture of aloe gel, olive oil and water on my skin after a shower. I like it a lot. I heal much better. Don't seem to sunburn easily anymore. I also use Gold Bond Diabetics skin cream on really dry spots too. It holds in the moisture real well.

Check for wounds. Treat cuts and scrapes with lidocaine cream. It seems to accelerate healing.

Brush teeth. Most of your mouth should already be clean. Just brush the tooth surfaces, and coat your mouth with olive oil afterwards.

------------

Most commercial beauty/bathing products are terrible for your skin. They contain chemicals that are cheap and easy to produce, not actually beneficial for health.
I mention a few things, but I have no illusions they will work for everyone. Do some experiments, figure out what works for you.
Avoid sulfates and antibacterial ingredients, they just dry you out.

Mouth Swabs- I tried a number of them, I like these the best.

I use two kinds of saline- Simply Saline comes in a spray can, it shoots a stream of water. It's good for washing sinuses.
I also use a regular spray mist bottle with NeilMed solution. It sprays the nostrils better.
Saline should not contain benzalkonium chloride. It shuts down the immune response. I find the ones with baking soda in them to be quite soothing.

-------------

My problem with bathing seems to be getting in the shower in the first place.
I have found that if I make myself a hot steamy washcloth and clean my face and hands, it is much easier to get motivated. It breaks the magic spell of dehydration or something.

Yeah, when young men become erratic and obsessive and vengeful- they need to be sent to a competent dentist.
Not be kicked out of school... and left to roam the streets and accumulate weapons...

The Golden Ticket

McCarthy had one of his staff buy Starbursts and pick out the red and pink ones, which were placed in a jar bearing the name of the majority leader on the side and delivered to the president. A White House official told The Washington Post that Trump was grinning upon receipt of the gift.

These people understand his pathology.   Have found his Pavlovian trigger.
He's a dry drunk.   Alters his mind and poisons his liver with fructose instead.

So glad to be alive today

Glad there were no missile attacks. Glad the internet is still available.  Because I waited my entire life to read this-

Newborn immune activation may have long-term negative impact on brain function
McLean Hospital neuroscientists have found that even a brief episode of immune system activation within days of birth can cause persistent changes in sleep patterns concurrent with increases in epilepsy-like brain activity -- a combination of symptoms common in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions. The detailed findings are available in the January 12, 2018, issue of Neuropsychopharmacology."A growing body of evidence suggests that immune system activation, such as that caused by bacterial and viral infections, can play important roles in many brain disorders," explained William Carlezon, PhD, chief of the Division of Basic Neuroscience at McLean Hospital, and senior author of the paper. "While previous research in laboratory animals has established that immune activation during critical prenatal (before birth) developmental periods can later produce the core features of ASD, including decreased social interaction, aberrant communication, and increased repetitive behavior, we wanted to evaluate whether postnatal (during infancy) immune activation could also produce other symptom clusters that are often seen in ASD and related conditions."
In humans, ASD is also frequently associated with certain co-occurring medical conditions, such as sleep disorders and seizures. To determine whether early postnatal immune system activation can produce these types of effects, McLean researchers treated mice with a lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a chemical that simulates a bacterial infection and causes a temporary (1-3 day) activation of the immune system. The LPS was given at a time point in mice (9 days after birth) that approximates the stage of brain development in humans at birth after full-term pregnancy. The mice were then implanted with micro-transmitters that enabled the researchers to collect an uninterrupted stream of data on sleep, muscle movement, and activity levels. Data collection continued through 12 weeks of age, a time point considered to represent adulthood in mice.
Carlezon, who is a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and his team discovered that temporary immune system activation shortly after birth produced two main findings in the adult mice. First, immune-activated mice spent more time in slow-wave sleep, a sleep phase often associated with systemic inflammation. Second, the mice also showed dramatic increases in brief (lasting 2-3 seconds) bouts of abnormal brain wave activity. These events had the hallmark characteristics of spike-wave discharges (SWDs), a type of epilepsy-like brain activity that is not accompanied by full-body seizures. Although the SWDs occurred throughout the day, they were much more prevalent during periods when the mice were sleeping. When they occurred during wakefulness, they were accompanied by complete behavioral arrest -- a period of no movement throughout the body -- and immediately followed by recovery of normal brain activity and movement. Collectively, these findings demonstrate that even a brief period of immune system activation during critical periods of early development can leave a long-term signature upon the brain.
Um yeah, been there, done that.
Geez Louise, oh me oh my...
